In October 2024, Alcolya St. Juste was named Chief Legal Officer of ChildNet. In her role as Chief Legal Officer, Alcolya oversees and leads the legal department providing direction on all major legal and regulatory issues. Additionally, Alcolya facilitates corporate compliance, governance, training and supports departments and staff in all aspects of ChildNet's legal proceedings.
Alcolya St. Juste’s professional and personal lives are guided by experience, leadership, integrity and fairness. Since graduating law school, Alcolya has made a meaningful contribution to the legal profession, specifically in Child Welfare for more than 20 years.
Alcolya has held legal positions of increasing responsibility as a Senior Attorney with the State of Florida Department of Children and Families; Assistant Regional Counsel with the Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel; as a former Special Magistrate to Palm Beach County’s Code Enforcement; as a Special Magistrate to the City of Riviera Beach; and as a Hearing Officer for the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics. Additionally, Alcolya founded her law firm which provided legal services in the areas of juvenile dependency, family, personal injury, business and real estate. While in private practice, she represented parents and children involved in the Child Welfare System. She most recently served as in-house counsel for GEICO Insurance Company.
Alcolya is a proud wife and mother to two children. She is a third generation native of Boynton Beach, Florida, committed to being a servant, in and out of the courtroom. A vocal advocate for the mental health and juvenile communities, Alcolya has served in leadership roles for the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County board and the Community Alliance of Palm Beach County.
